Seeking a full-time Head of School for the 2026-27 academic year.

Veritas Academy (VA) is a classical, non-denominational Christian school in Cody, Wyoming. We serve ~80 students from PreK-8th grade, with future plans for a high school program. We are governed by a Board of Directors consisting of current parents, assisted by an Advisory Board also made up of VA parents. The Head of School (HOS) position reports directly to the Board and supervises ~16 full-time and part-time teachers.

Our current HOS is retiring, and we are looking for someone to lead our staff, students and families with wisdom, grace and the love of Christ. A successful candidate will be knowledgeable in classical education, leadership, student development, and community outreach. They will have a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a desire to teach and share the Gospel.

Responsibilities include:

• Spiritual Leadership: Be the spiritual model, promoting a Christ-centered culture, leading devotions, ensuring a biblical worldview, and fostering spiritual growth for all involved.

• Academic Vision & Implementation: Oversee classical curriculum, ensure classical methods are used, supervise instruction, develop teachers in classical pedagogy, and guide strategic academic planning.

• Operational & Administrative Management: Manage daily operations, budgets, enrollment, fundraising, and ensure effective organizational structure.

• Faculty & Staff Development: Recruit, hire, mentor, evaluate, and retain excellent faculty, ensuring a passionate and effective teaching team.

• Community & Board Relations: Serve as the chief spokesperson, build relationships with board, parents, churches, and community
